To generate an intracellular signaling peptide, a transcription factor that will

- upregulate survival factors and down-regulate proapoptotic factors as their basic function

- or the opposite after pathogenic mutations

 

 

Signaling pathways that can be involved:

PS1-> Cadherin-> PI3K/Akt activity-> GSK-3beta; apoptotic caspase 3 -> Tau phosphorylation, Abeta production
